Homemade pineapple-ginger-garlic teriyaki sauce

¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
4 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 tablespoons pineapple
2 tablespoons pineapple puree
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger


Prepare ingredients; mince garlic; grate ginger; dice pineapple into very small pieces; make pineapple puree

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, cornstarch, vinegar, garlic, ginger, pineapple puree and diced pineapple until well mixed

Bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat until warm. Whisk in honey until dissolved

Reduce heat to medium; stirring constantly until desired thickness is reached
