Cooked Frosting

5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Boil milk and 5 tablespoons flour in a small saucepan over low heat untill thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, let the mixture cool completely

When the mixture is cool, beat sugar and butter in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy

Add the milk-flour mixture and vanilla, continue beating until soft and aerated

Frost cake layers with the icing/ frosting as needed
