Cinnamon Bundt Cake

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CAKE

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter
1-1/3 cups white sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 eggs
2/3 cup milk

FOR THE CINNAMON SYRUP

1/2 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 175 degrees C; Grease and flour a bundt pan, put aside. Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt into a large mixing bowl. Mix well, put aside

In another large bowl, beat together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, until fluffy and aerated

Add vanilla; mix well

Add the flour mixture alternating with the milk ending with the flour; mix until well incorporated

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes or until well cooked. Remove from oven, let it cool for about 5 minutes, then remove from pan while it is still warm. Poke the holes on top and around the cake using a skewer stick

Add all the cinnamon syrup ingredients into a pan. Stir and cook until butter and sugar melt

Pour the warm cinnamon syrup all over the warm cake

Cut as serve warm or cold; as you wish
