Red Velvet pancakes

1 cup all-purpose flour
11/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup salted butter , melted

Mix together the milk and vinegar, let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes

In a large bowl mix or sift the dry ingredients; flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt

In another bowl add buttermilk, red food coloring, melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk mixture until well combined

Add mixture into the dry ingredients bowl; mix to combine

On a nonstick pan over low-medium heat. Pour ΒΌ cup of batter onto the pan (you can use round egg/ pancakes rings for perfect round shapes). Cook until the underside is golden and bubbles begin to appear on the surface

Flip the pancake to the other side. Spread some butter on the cooked side. Flip again to the other side and spread butter too. Cook until cooked through

Serve with the cream cheese frosting
