Total time; 2 hours 30 mins

1 kg chicken wings
½ cup honey
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
½ lemon, juiced
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Rinse chicken wings and pat dry. Separate each wing at the joint into 2 pieces

Chop cilantro; squeeze lemon, put aside

In a large bowl, add the soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, cilantro and lemon juice. Mix until well combined. Add the chicken wings into the bowl. Toss well to coat

Cover the bowl, let chicken wings marinate for 2 hours

Drain wings from the marinade

In a frying pan or grill pan over medium-high heat, bring butter and olive oil to boil. Add the honey and chicken wings into the pan. Season with salt and pepper

Cook on both sides until browned, sticky and well cooked; turning them over often to coat them as the glaze reduces, about 10 minutes

Garnish with sesame seeds

Serve as desired

  1. Hello Jane, can one use the marinade to boil the chicken to cook well since mine tend to be uncooked in the ten minutes quoted

    1. Hallo Pamela, I am very sorry for a very late reply, I was having a break from blogging. But I am back now. If they didn´t cook through you can cook them longer with lower heat so they don´t burn. I hope it works this time:)
